Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
LandBrief publishes property parcel information compiled from public records. This policy explains what we collect when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to www.landbrief.com only. We link to other websites, including those operated by our affiliates, and this policy does not govern them.
Information we collect
You do not need an account to use LandBrief, and we do not ask you to create one. We collect information in three ways:
- Information you send us. If you submit a quote request or contact form, we receive what you type into it — typically your name, email address, and optionally a phone number, company and message — along with the page you sent it from.
- Automatically collected technical information. Our servers log standard request data: IP address, browser and operating system, the pages requested and the time of each request. This is used to operate and secure the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Advertising
LandBrief displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- More information is available in Google's policy on how it uses information from partner sites.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find them. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address. We use it in aggregate — to see that a county page is popular, not to identify who read it. You can prevent this entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Property records published on this site
This is the section most people are looking for, so it is worth being direct about it.
The parcel information on LandBrief — including owner names, mailing addresses, property addresses, acreage, assessed values and parcel boundaries — is compiled from public records published by county assessors, appraisal districts and other government offices. We did not collect it from you, and we are not its source. The same records are generally available directly from the county that produced them.
We republish this information as provided. We do not verify it, and it may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong — county datasets vary widely in age and quality. Nothing here should be relied on for a title search, a transaction, a legal filing, or any decision where accuracy matters. Consult the county of record.
Removal requests. If a record on this site concerns you and you would like it removed, contact us using the contact form with the page URL and the parcel identifier. We will review the request. Please note two things: removing a record here does not remove it from the county's own records or from other sites that publish them, and some jurisdictions require certain property records to remain publicly available. Where the law provides for confidentiality — for example, address confidentiality programmes for victims of violence, or protections available to judges and law enforcement in some states — the county assessor is the office that can apply it at source, and we will honour a removal here regardless.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To measure which content is useful.
- To display advertising, as described above.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that operate the site on our behalf:
- Google — advertising and analytics.
- MailerSend — delivery of enquiry emails you choose to send us.
- DigitalOcean — hosting and infrastructure.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of LandBrief, our users, or others.
Data retention
Enquiries you send are kept for as long as needed to answer them and maintain a record of the correspondence. Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices
- You can browse the entire site without submitting any personal information.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site will continue to work.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising using the links above.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, use the contact form.
Children
LandBrief is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a removal request, can be sent through the contact form. It is the fastest route to us and reaches the same place as an email would.
